I am getting lightning icons overlayed on GR2Analyst, but they quickly disappear with the next volume scan. Is that how it is designed to work? From the configuration, I believe they should remain on the screen for some length of time afterwards.
Have you unchecked "Animate icons"? It's meant to be animated across multiple frames of radar data. If that isn't your use-case, I'd highly suggest unchecking that setting. You'll immediately see an improvement.
Hey Ryan. Thanks for that. I gave it a try, but it hasn't corrected the problem. The animation makes the lightning icons get smaller, or change their appearance over time right? In my case, the lightning icon appears for one volume scan, and then disappears on the next scan. This makes them appear to flicker. Also, the lighting strikes appear at varying sizes. For example, sometimes they flicker onto the screen large, and other times very small. The location of the individual lighting strikes do no appear at the same location over multiple volume scans. Is this what is intended? Or are they supposed to remain at the same location for a little while before disappearing? I've subscribed for your service in the past and I don't recall seeing this before. Could it be related to SAILS?
There is one lightning icon for all strikes within 2.2 miles. That icon's location moves to the newest strike's location in that 2.2 mile radius with each update (one minute). This is how it has always been since we've never provided "high resolution" lightning to all of our subscribers, only those who subscribe to that plan.
