It is a pain to have to recreate the environment every time I start Maps. It would be nice if I had the ability to save one or two profiles that could selected when desired. Since I have to be logged into Allisonhouse, these could be linked to my AH login. Similar to what we do with placefiles (i.e.F5)

Ryan Hickman We're now testing a couple of different solutions to this problem. As of tonight you will notice that Maps remembers your last state. So if you had Reflectivity with GOES Imagery up before you closed Maps last, it'll reactivate those products when revisited. The state is saved per browser, not per account.
We are exploring the idea of creating custom saved views. This would allow you to choose your desired view, click a save icon and name the view before it is added to a special category in the overlay pane. I hope to have this ready within the next 1-2 days.
Thank you for your patience.

Ryan Hickman I have a Proof of Concept of this completed. It is based on the same logic that saves your previously open products to your browser so that when you return, you're viewing those same products.
Thanks for hanging in with us!

Ryan Hickman This has been added. Let's consider this a "beta" feature for the next 24-48 hours while we work out any bugs.

George Kasica Ryan: Now that there's a save feature is it possible I can "re-beta" the maps functions here as that was what caused me to not switch from GREarth - no way to save what I was set up and recreating it was a major PITA.

Ryan Hickman George - Reach out to Justin at support AT allisonhouse.com. He'll get you setup with a short trial so you can give it a try.
We're also working on a couple modifications to this particular feature.
1. Currently you have to go to your Maps configuration page to delete a Custom Layer Group. Instead we'll add a trashcan icon to the Custom Layer Group's menu button which, when pressed, deletes the group.
2. Once #1 is completed, the configuration page can be modified to allow you to select a default Custom Layer Group. This would ensure that your Maps opens at the location you choose, with the products that you want to see.
