Reflectivity/Velocity "Caps"

I have a question in regards to both reflectivity and velocity "caps" in regards to GR Level 2 Analyst and Allison House (I have both). I have seen various people with caps of ~90 DBZ for reflectivity and 160 knots for velocity whilst Gibson Ridge and Allison House's caps are ~80 DBZ and 70 kts respectively. This may be a dumb question but how is this accomplished...is it just done with different radar sources (if so which ones?)? Higher data caps leader to better characterization of more intense couplets on radar (for example) so it would be a cool addition if I would be able to acquire that.

  Your screenshot did not attach.

  I don't quite understand what you mean by "caps." AllisonHouse radar data is exactly the same as the radar data on the NWS servers. We all get our radar data from the same source, the National Weather Service.

  AllisonHouse also has nothing to do with the interpretation of radar data. If one piece of software is showing one thing while another shows another, that needs to be discussed with the software developer, not us. We are only the data provider.
