With the cold season coming up, I'd like to see the GFS 500-1000 Thickness added.

Ryan Hickman I'm looking into the "thickness" product. It may or may not exist. This may be something we have to derive from the raw data we are provided. I'll let you know what I come up with over the next couple of days.
For now I have incorporated the 925mb, 850mb, 700mb and 500mb temperatures into our GFS processor, as those are generated products. I'll have the actual products added to maps and available within the next hour and it'll all be ready for the 18Z GFS.
Sorry for not having these added before. Not sure why they were on the NAM/NAM-WRF and not the GFS.

Ryan Hickman Okay, thickness is easy to calculate. I'll have a decent test case run with the 00Z and if everything looks right, release the change. Otherwise it'll be released tomorrow.
Upper-Air Temperatures are now on the LATE hours of the 12Z GFS. The 18Z GFS will be the first full run with those being processed. Make sure to refresh Maps to get the latest product list.

Ryan Hickman This is now being rolled out to all models. It should be available by the 00Z across the board. For now you can test the implementation using the HRRR, as that is our proving grounds for this particular update. (HRRR > Heights)
I am tweaking the contour intervals to improve the display, so don't get concerned if you don't like what you see at first. However I do appreciate any input you might have on the color and width of the lines and labels.

Ryan Hickman HRRR, NAM-WRF and GFS all have these products. Will make sure to get the NAM added before the evening is over.
WRF-ARW and WRF-NMMB will be more difficult. Their vertical levels are much more limited and may not be able to cover the same altitudes.
