Hello AllisonHouse crew,
I'm trying to figure out how I can do this. I'm here at our county 911 dispatch center tonight and on our mapping software we have the ability to track units by GPS/AVL. I'm wondering if there is a way to track amateur radio operators (mainly the operators that are involved in the public safety field as well) on our map. I know you have the placefile for use on the radar software and that works great for that when I am tracking storms but I'm interested in getting this to work on our GIS mapping as well. If you have any suggestions or ideas that could point me in the right direction that would be very helpful. If I can get this done, that would help out in the dispatch center and EOC greatly as we as emergency managers typically only use APRS during storm operations. The only units that have true AVL in our county are the sheriff deputies who use a mobile CAD in their cars.
I've also attached a screen capture of how our mapping software incorporates the data.
Thanks in advance
